Project TOY 2014

We look forward to your support and wish you a joyous holiday season!

Dear Friends,

With the holiday season quickly approaching, we are once again preparing for PROJECT T.O.Y.

Tri Community and Youth Agency along with the Family Service League's Project FACILE sponsor this program, which has met an important need in our community.

This very special program was started to give parents who are struggling financially the opportunity to choose two new unwrapped gifts for their children. The space is transformed into a Holiday Gift Boutique. Parents are invited to shop at no cost to them and are given the pleasure of presenting gifts that they have chosen to their children.

We are asking for your help by donating new unwrapped toys and gift cards for children ages birth through 13, financial donation and/or new wrapping paper.

Parents are set to begin their holiday shopping in December. Please see that all donations are made by December 10th to ensure that we have enough time to set up the Boutique.

If you should have any questions or you would like to make arrangements for a pickup, please contact us.

How you can Help Tri-CYA

SHOPPING BAG DRIVE:

Attach a letter of support from our program to a shopping bag and distribute to vendors, neighbors, and employees. Ask them to place a new toy in the bag, and have it ready on a specific day for you to pick up.

TOY DRIVE:

Do a community service project with your scout troop, religious group, school or youth group.

GIVING TREE:

Make construction paper stars, angels, or snowmen and attach them to a Christmas tree. Each item has a gift suggestion for a donor to buy.

DRESS DOWN DAY:

Choose a day that employees can "dress down". In order for them to participate, they must donate a toy.

MATCHING FUNDS:

Ask each employee to make a financial donation on their next pay day and the employer will match their donations.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

At your next PTA meeting, card club, or scout meeting ask each member to bring a gift.

Collect cash donations and ask a group of representatives to purchase gift cards in $5 and $10 denominations.

Sponsor a holiday party and have your guests bring a gift as their entrance fee.

We will be glad to help you implement any of these ideas or assist you in developing other ideas that will attract attention.
